Story Teller.

Sometime back i listened to a song by Morgan Harper called story teller. Here is the song;

This song has since then inspired me to share my stories. We all have stories to tell whether simple or breathtaking. Every story that could inspire someone out there is worth telling. I am very passionate about sharing my stories especially with people younger than me in years, experience and faith. A lot of people are struggling with the little things that you have already overcome. These things might seem obvious to you but they are not that obvious to someone else.  What is now a walk in the park for you might be a huge mountain to someone else.

Never be afraid to share your stories because within those stories one can find motivation, encouragement and counsel. You may have read what others have shared and felt intimidated by their experiences and victories but that shouldn’t stop you from sharing your own story.

One day I was going through some battles and I really wanted to share this with someone. However before I could share what I was going through, I met a friend who shared what he had already overcome. I must admit my problem which had seemed like a mountain earlier was now closer to an anthill when we were done talking. Instead of just comparing my problem to his, I derived counsel from his experience and faced my own battles with boldness. I believe this brother was heaven sent.

We fail to share our stories for various reasons. One, you probably don’t consider your story big enough to make any impact. Your testimonies are not as “big” as others you have listened to but that simple story could be what someone needs to hear. Even if you just changed one life, that one soul is very important to God.

Go ahead and share what you have been through and what you have already overcome with others. Don’t hold back the testimonies or praise reports. You could change a life or shed some light to a person who feels really stuck.

Inspiration is everywhere, all you need to do is look keenly. Often times I have found inspiration in a song, image or just nature.I know that the stories I share here will inspire, shed light, bring counsel, motivate and change lives. As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.Proverbs 27:17 NKJV
